The Carioca Alessa founded in 2002 the "Casa da Alessa" (Alessa's House) a combination of Home-Atelier in Ipanema. She made her MA Design in London at Central St. Martins and Alessa is granddaughter of the Pope's taylor. Her collections show sense of humor and a very Brazilian touch. Funny and very daring, Alessa is famous for exploring unexpected places to her fashion shows. It is currently in 150 multi-label stores in Brazil, and in other 30 countries. Alessa launches her collections at Rio Fashion Week. The brand is in prestigious shops such as Selfridges in London; Printemps, Galeries Lafayette and Colette, in Paris, Harvey Nichols, Sak’s and Bloomingdales in the Middle East, designed a special collection for Coin in Italy; and tradeshows such as Tranoi Montaigne and Who's Next in Paris. By using sophisticated handicraft techniques, extremely contemporaneous concepts, the product "Made in Alessa" is a hybrid of publicity, design and fashion, areas in which the designer defines herself as "dreamaholic".
